| The only head coach George Mason University has ever had, Pascale begins his 13th season.
He first came to George Mason from Georgetown University where he was the recruiting coordinator and linebacker coach. Prior to Georgetown, Pascale was the head coach at Catholic University for 12 seasons between 1972 and 1984.
He is still the winningest coach in Cardinal history with a record of 67 and 43 and is a member of the school's Hall of Fame. Pascale also coached at Bloomsburg University from 1969 to 1970, and was at the University of Maryland in 1971.
During his 13 year tenure at Mason, Pascale has a record of 59 and 35. He has had two undefeated teams, in 1997 and 1998. His 1979 Catholic team was ranked number one in the nation in total defense, and his overall record as a head coach is 129 and 81. He received his bachelor's degree from The College of New Jersey in 1970. Pascale also has a master's degree from Bloomsburg University and a Ph.D. from the University of Maryland.
A Coordinator with alternative programs for Fairfax County Public Schools, he resides in Manassas, VA. Pascale and his wife Jill have three children: Nicholas who is in law school at LSU, Joseph, a junior at Auburn University, and Elizabeth, a sophomore at the University of Mississippi. |
